Farm Description:

Wolf Creek Family Farm is a small family farm in Peculiar, MO. We are focused on fresh, sustainably grown produce and naturally raised meat and eggs. We try hard to use methods that preserve the integrity of the land and provide wholesome, chemical-free food for our customers. We believe food is fresher, more nutritious, and more able to sustain itself as a system if it’s produced close to where it’s consumed.

We’re happy and proud to offer you high-quality produce, home-grown pork, and fresh eggs grown naturally. We eat from the same fields you do and wouldn't dare sell anything we wouldn't eat ourselves. Wolf Creek Family Farm is proud of our commitment to quality and hope you’ll feel confident in feeding your family fresh food from the family farm.

What makes your farm unique?: Arcenio and Karin are two former Marines turned farmers! We use natural methods to control pests and weeds, feed the soil, and raise our animals. This farm is our life and we work around the clock to provide a wholesome product to our customers. We invite folks to make an appointment to come tour the farm and want our customers to learn how to grow their own produce as a way to be more self-sufficient and to promote a more sustainable food system.
Specialty Items: Free-range eggs, pastured pork, heirloom tomatoes and other veggies
Where to buy?: Each season we attend the following farmers markets:

Farmers Markets Where You Sell?: Lee's Summit, Raymore, Harrisonville, Peculiar
CSA Distribution Info: Our traditional boxed shares can be picked up at the Raymore Farmers Market on Tuesday afternoons, or the Lee's Summit Farmers Market on Wednesday or Saturday mornings.

Our market-style shares are available at all our farmers market locations.
CSA Share Structure: Our traditional CSA’s focus is on a system of weekly pick-up of vegetables at one of several locations from the end of May through October each year.
Our alternative market-style CSA is an alternative to our traditional share box. In this style, the member invests money in the off-season the same as the traditional share. However, instead of receiving a weekly box, the member selects what they want from the produce available on the table.

In either case, members may register with a $50 deposit and make payments on their own schedule through March 1st, when all shares must be paid for in full.
CSA: What can shareholders expect in their share?: We grow a wide variety of produce during each part of the season. Shares will range from leafy greens, green onions, radishes and other root veggies, to strawberries and asparagus, then on to full boxes of tomatoes, peppers, sweet corn, melons and more. The fall will see the remaining summer produce, along with cabbages, broccoli, cauliflower and winter squashes. We try to keep the mix fresh and familiar, while including unique heirloom varieties to introduce our members to something new each season!
Exceptions to Farmer Pledges: If we experience a crop failure, we may source produce from other local family farm using the same growing practices we do.
